good morning missouri... i must be getting used to this west coast time.. didnt get up till almost 0800... my son-in-law and i worked on michelle's car some yesterday.. got as far as trying to get the harmonic balancer off.. he went and bought a puller but the bolts in the kit wouldn't work so had to go get different bolts, and a 5/8ths bolt to cut down to make a spacer.. it sure is hard working away from the shop..
hope to have that changed today so michelle and i can go do some sightseeing and visit the 'auto museum' in Olympia, maybe stop an visit the water fall in oregon.. we wont head down to california until latter next week..
Van tires are done. The shop that does my tires is also a commercial truck tire service center and they always do an awesome job balancing things up. Front end passed inspection which was a little surprising considering how long it's been since I did the ball joints and how hard the E-350s tend to be on them.
Thursday was the big family get together. Today is when the immediate family gets together. Aside from pitching in to help Tiff, I haven't done a dang thing. We were supposed to get our new fridge today, but Lowe's S#!T the bed on that one. The one we ordered didn't come in and nobody thought to tell us it would be a few more days. Good thing we called before we emptied the old one.
Did a bit of carb work on ol red... starts like a champ now I will test drive it tomorrow. I want it turn key so I can start it every day and stay motivated to finish it. That way I can also have it ready for Alan to come color sand.
Yes the buggy is a summer rig only, but I know I will snow wheel it like the Bronco.
I only want ONE snow this year. That way I get my "monster truck in the snow" pictures, but don't have to deal with it the rest of the time. ...I know. Wishful thinking.
I hope to be heading north in a couple weeks to pick up Wild Hair. I'm pretty excited. I also get to see Thunder Beast while I'm up there.
We had a hard frost down here this morning. That was enough to winter for me. Made me want to hibernate. I did get fire in the stove in the shop and some reason I always like that. Hope everyone had a great Thanksgiving. Glad to be home and wont have to deal with the traffic of everybody trying to get home from traveling.
sounds like rich is about to be dangerous to be around...... you know with all the parts and tools that will be fling around when he gets started on old red....
