Howdy all. Glad to see Dave's problem left you and Gayle unscathed. Alan, runs happen, a run can be sanded and buffed, dry spray can't,I know little solace in that thought.
Oh, I've sanded out dry spots too. Usually I get dry spots where my overlap gets too far apart. Luckily, I've only gotten light on one of the coats I put down. I had a HUGE dry spot right in the middle of the quarter on the driver's side. The first coat was thick enough I could sand the rough off without going through the clear.
that's also why I start with 1500 grit paper. I like to sneak up on the "smooth".

Thanks Chip. Gayle was shook up the rest of the evening and it took some work to get her to relax that night, but all-in-all we're good.
I went into the Licking license office after work and took care of taxes and license for the camper. That hurt, but not quite as much as I was expecting. Did y'all know that Missouri now has permanent plate option for trailers? Since we're going to have this camper for a long time, I took the option and now don't have to remember to renew the tags.
good mornigmissouri..it is cool and wet here in the great northwest again today.. i will have a little job to play with today... will be working with my son-in-law to put a harmonic balancer on michelles super charged riviera.. now that sounds like fun..... she is wanting to go to the 'pick-in-pull' one day to try to find some wheels for her car.. the chrome on the ones she has now is peeling off around the bead and letting the tires leak down (the tire shop told her).. i have not run into this before and dont know of any suggestions i cab give her that may help correct the problem... well i guess i will have to wait for these kids to get their lazy selves up and the sun to come up so i can get started on something.. ya'll have a good day
ohh and rich .. yes i had a good flight out here.. had a nice view out my window, while i was choke'n down my dry-azz cracker.... i was so scared of flying that i tried to find a 'safe space' to hide in.. but there were so many whinny snot nose college kids already there crying about hillary losing, that there wasnt enough room for me to get in....... ha ha ha ha ha
RC sounds like fun, as far as the tire issue, about the only way to fix it would be to demount the tires or at least break the beads on both sides. And then run a grinder with a wire wheel and get the flaking chrome/rust off the bead area. Then you'll have even worse looking rims, but they should hold air better.
John. I'm hoping to get with Wildcat tool rental to rent a high reach, off road fork lift. Cars will be dry with no glass, so they shouldn't weigh a ton. ...well, much more than a ton.
I got the devil Chevy delivered, an Acura MDX fixed and delivered, the cab stripped off the '84 Ford, the Mustang was dropped off for paint, and a tail gate showed up for paint. All-in-all, a busy day. ...especially since this overly aggravating insurance company called me 6 times today to check on the progress. They want me to be the insurance adjuster for the job and the guy is freakin' buggin' the crap out of me. "Didja' send off that information?" "Didja' get the pictures e-mailed yet?" I was SO close to telling this guy to go pound sand. Like I have nothing else to do but cater to this ya-hoo.
I can't believe another Thanksgiving is rolling around. Be safe. ....at least we only have to go six blocks to get to Granny's house for Thanksgiving. Hopefully next year, we'll be hosting the festivities.
