I've resigned myself to the idea there's no way I'm going to get the hauler done in time for the banquet next week, so the truck is just gonna have to stay home. I have too many other things I'm trying to accomplish in the next few weeks.
The SHO Taurus should be in paint by lunch today. I got the hood jambed in yesterday and all the primer is done and blocked. All I have to do is some surface prep and it's ready for some color and clear.
Alan sometimes it is easier on a person (mentally and physically) to just step back and slow down a bit.
Also, I have had to accept is the fact that if you change/adjust your goals just a bit, things like NOT getting truck work completed will not bother you as much. I know you are running a business, but man do not wear yourself out over it. Remember you got into it because you love what you do right? Getting paid to do it is a bonus, in the big life scheme of things.
I have accepted the fact that I will probably never get the red truck back together any time soon, now I sleep better at night. I use to go to bed thinking and worrying about the fact that I really need to go up to the garage and work on it. And the blue truck, and the silver truck, both Broncos, clean up the shop, the house, the yard ect...
I use to keep myself up all night long worrying about what I WANTED to do or get done, versus just accepting what I can realistically get done. I sleep alot better now. Hang in there brother.
Dr Ford truck Phil show if over now, so back to work ya slackers. lol Jk Morning boys.
Unfortunately, the truck has certain obligations, so not worrying about isn't really an option. I can adjust my schedule, but nothing to do with the monster truck can sit idle for very long.
I did get the Taurus shot today and peeled. I'll finish assembling it tomorrow, then get the next job in. I also got a set of u-joints in a customer's truck today. At least stuff is getting done.
sounds like you are moving right along alan.. as long as you keep going forward it will all get done..
i did not get a ton done today.. did get the neutral saftey switch wired up and working, then got the new locking hubs installed.. got ready to try everything when i noticed i had forgot to get a vacuum line made up to work the modulator so i did that.. i tried to install the inspection cover on the bell housing when i noticed i would have to drop the exhaust to get the bolts in.... i just put in new studs and nuts so it all came apart easy. i got away with just dropping the one side down and just loosening the other side.. i think in the morning i will head to town and get some trans fluid so i can get this thing outta my shop... WHEW that was long winded ha ha ha ha
good morning missouri... i hope today i can see if the trans works in the bronco, if i can remember to go to town before hitting the shop....
i kinda hope this thing sells before i head out west.. but if it dont i may just use it this winter.. would like to retire the poor ole S10 before i have to do any more work on it
