FE's EFI Systems
This is one of the problems when you need pain pills to just help to keep your body in a mobility state.
An way, I finish up the install to at an cranked it up for a few minutes in todays heat of 90*at 3:00 pm so, I'll take it for a drive tomorrow plus it's suppose to be way cooler.
I'd like to take some videos but my old SD card will not play on my window 7 laptop It will play only sound. An since MS don't support it as they just want me to buy a newer camera & computer. So it's Pictures the dates our off. on some pix.

Back at first install all while in between rain storm that lasted four to 5 days out of 7 form light to hard rains an me trying to get it all wired up, plus using a double throw 3 way on-off-on fuel pump switch on the dual motor fuel pump.
The fuel pump can be used with both pumps working if needed for higher fuel needs. Or as a singular pump unit for lower fuel demand.
Okay my main reason for choosing this dual functioning pump was for a back up pump when needed. Since, I only needed one pump out put, I had to wire up a relay with inline with a 3 way toggle switch.
Now when the day came for the start up it did not start with many a temps.
Well after trying many things to try and tech support was getting no where between not raining days.
Well I ended up sending the ECU back to Holley be checked why the fuel pump voltage was only 2.8 volts. Holley sent it back saying nothing wrong with it, must be in my wiring loom/plugs. After checking for any shorts or opens it was all good.
When, I charged my battery back up for a few days waiting for the rains to stop after getting the ECU back. Well plugged in the ECU turned on the key and the fuel pump now was working.
Now it was time for the big moment test or start up turned went through the reprograming an bingo it started.
My engine started up as it should cold as it warmed up it then settled at a high idle then would go up once it warmed up higher to about 1400 rpms an why what in the hell is happing.
I figured it just needed to learn what it was suppose to do all while the TBS shows at zero % the RPMs set at 650 but it's not happening.
So after me read adjusting everything AIR/FUEL to the IAC an so on tweaking an reloading the ECU files a good number of times.
Now after going through the Holley Forums an reading stuff looking for what is happening to me as my problem.
Bingo I never gave it any though as, I have never dealt with a TBI setup before. I now needed to check that the Secondaries our not hanging up as they do come in very early with not all that throttle movement.
I did not know or think that the program only reads the Primaries settings.
It took some doing to get the Secondaries set screw adjustment screw to move and backed it out a half a turn which started the RPM's to drop down closer too where it should be.
So now, I have been driving it some an now running much better as it still in the learning process.
One thing, I don't like is the Secondaries come in to fast an not sure if it can be adjusted.
An right now no way to even check gas mileage other then about the same as with the Holley 600 carb, I was using.
Well this is a little longer then wanted but here it's been a while since last updating all while getting over a back issues & rain storms

The pics I looked at looks like there is an extra hole in the primary side throttle lever. For the rod that connects the primary and secondary levers. Try that extra hole.
May be if my truck was not 6k+ and did not need so much throttle to get it rolling it'd be ok like a little light Tee bucket.
I might try to cut the linkage slot for the secondary a little so it has a longer slot before the linkage butts up to it's stop where the secondaris start coming in.
But not much metal to grind a wither slot.. Sure don't look like it can be bent like some carb linkage does.
I may check with what Holley has for Aux add on TBI parts if needed..

I'll try messing with this to see if that hole makes me happy

And that's a good thing so will see how that works out.
Thanks Jeff for helping the blind

Ford Trucks for Ford Truck Enthusiasts
Well Jeff, I removed the small piece of linkage an it would not fit into the hole unless the throttle was open about 1/4 way open.
But, I flatten the linkage out straighter that gave the TBI more primaries more opening before open the secondaris so I may be able to live with it that way once the cpu relearns the way, I want it to be.
So I'll run it and see how does over all
Ps miss my old Holley 600 as, I had it setup great for a 2wd & light 4wd drive, where as the efi won't flood on a steep hill like a carb will.

My RPM's is like 7.50 to 8.00 Startup timing was 15* But will have to recheck everything as, I set it at 12*
My timing is still independent. The Fuel PSI 43LBS at startup per instructions.
While cold starting the RPM goes up to like 1500 then drops down to about 600 fast then as it warms up the idle starts coming up to 800 RPM's
I really need to learn more about the do & do not's of all the tuning of it..
as somethings, I don't understand all of it yet.

My old burned out brain just has a hard time remembering all this new stuff now days.
Guess, I got spoiled cutting my teeth on Holly's for over 55 yrs for the most part.
