Chad, What Gerry said. Man, I need you to speak English!
I talked to my friend at the body shop today. It's going to cost more then I initially thought. I'm in kind of a bummer mood right now. But it will be Okay. It will all work out in the end.
With regard to the foreign language post above, I thought my eyes were just messed up from the early hour in which I was reading it. Glad it's not just me. I suppose a late nate after several beers. it would be easier to read and comprehend.
Gerry, Even though I planned for it to cost more then the initial estimate. Once I got it tore apart and my friend got a good look at it. I was in a little shock as to how much more it was going to be.
I'm getting over it though, as Doug said it will be worth it.
"Some previous owners aux fuel door."
How was the tank plumbed across the bed?
The pic shows a panel or door…wuz there a hose ?
What's yer plans on the build concerning this feature?
Thnx ~
Good morning Chad, There was a home made tank on the passenger side. I'm not sure how is was plumbed to the engine. There was no sign of it ever being hooked up that I can tell.
There used to be a vendor that made the third tanks. Mine came with one that wasn't installed but does have the fuel door cut into it. The tank selector valve under the drivers seat is a three way valve so you can select left, center (rear), or right. I never installed it and now have electric pumps in each tank with an electric switchover valve; so it would be difficult for me to add it now unless I just used another transfer pump to another tank.
I think it was made by Northwest Metal Products but they have sold their fuel tank division to Sunset Metal Fab. Anyhow, with a carb setup, all you need is the right switch over valve under the seat. There is no fuel return. The pump on the engine will pull fuel from any tank.
