66,500 on my truck and check engine light came on today. Pulled the codes and they are:
P1249 Waste Gate Control Valve performance.
P0401 EGR Flow insufficient detected.
P054E Idle Control System Fuel Quantity lower than expected.
P0471 Exhaust Pressure Sensor Range/performance.
I always use fuel additives and about 60% of the time my truck was used for towing my heavy 43 foot 5'er (until I sold that in April). Now I only use truck once/twice a week mostly at highway speeds. Engine has 2030 hours with 234 idle hours (generally only let it idle after towing 5'er to cool down). Engine is stock, no deletes or tunes. I have not noticed any increase in operating temps.
I can tie most of the codes to the EGR system but the one that baffles me is the P054E, how does that relate or not relate to EGR?
Has anyone ever cleaned their own cooler? Am I looking at a new cooler or am I way off base?

Reason: typos fixed
Thanks Bruce,
I don't know how I have missed that thread, I thought I read every thread every day.
But as an update, I cleared all the codes and then took it for a hard drive locking out 5th and 6th, beat her hard for about an hour. checked codes again (after CEL came back) and now I only have the waste gate and Idle fuel control codes (P1249 and P054E) So I guess I was premature on the EGR stuff, she just needed to be whipped back into shape.
I had the P0401 on my 2011. I attempted the same fix, ie clearing codes, towing hard, etc. but eventually it came back, and the egr cooler had to be switched out. It was covered on the 5yr/100K warranty.
Have/Can you clear those codes and see if they come back?
Yes, I cleared the remaining codes (waste gate) and they do return, EGR codes have not returned yet.

Since I traded it in, who knows what the actual (Factual) number really is but paper work says I got 32K for it on a 2014 Dutchman Voltage 3950. Good news is I only paid 27K for the Denali.

bruce....
The EGR should fall into the pollution warrantee of 8/80K but the waste gate should be the 5/100K.... since my truck is 6.5 years old figure the odds...

I believe the P0401 repair is covered under the 8yr/80K emissions warranty. My code came on at just over 5 years and around 45,000 miles and was repaired under warranty.
