Color matched Mirror Caps
Hey all,
I've seen lots of pictures of SDs with color matched caps on the mirrors, but I don't see the option to order those. Are they only for the King Ranch? I plan on a Lariat very soon in Blue/Magnetic. I really don't like the chrome caps, my apologies to those who do. Sure would like the blue caps on the mirrors...

If your getting a lariat, then it will have the colored caps. Unless you get the chrome pkg, then it will have chrome caps. The lariats come standard with the painted caps, thats why you dont see an option to order them. The xlt and lower trims have the black, unpainted caps. PS: Dont go by the ford build and price site, because it says that only the KR comes with them, and thats wrong, they just havent updated the site yet, but all the lariats have them too.

No mention of it, but if you order Lariat, your mirror caps and door handles will be painted body color.

Actually it does mention the KR with them, but like mentioned above, the lariats come with them too. Go to auto trader or any dealer website and every lariat you see that doesnt have the chrome pkg, will have painted caps and handles.

Does anyone know if you get the body color handles if the unlock feature will work when you touch them?

Yes it does, but you must have the Intelligent key which is part of the Lariat Ultimate package.
