I really like the painted color matched mirror caps on the new SD.
Do not like the Chrome Package.
Seen both on KR and Lariat painted on dealer lots and website photos.
What option package has painted color matched mirror caps?
TIA
In Canada that is how a Lariat comes unless you order the chrome package. I ordered mine with the color matched mirror caps and then the dealer messed up the special order a little and I ended up with a completely different truck with chrome package. It is pretty chromey :-) that's for sure ... That said I find the chrome mirror caps a little easier to maintain than the painted ones, bugs are a little easier to get off and they don't seem to get as marked up, so far so good in that regard.
You can always ordered caps (about $7ea) they only come in unpainted black and you can paint them whatever color. I have a new unused pair still in box if someone wants them for postage only
My truck came with the chrome package which I didn't mind except the chrome mirror caps. I bought the black plastic mirror caps and it took about five minutes to swap them out. You can also buy the mirror caps that are ready to be painted to match too. My black ones were about $6 each.
The chrome package was a $1,350.00 option that I just couldn't see the value in.
I'm with you...... $1350 for chrome and $1240 for 20" wheels ...... would never consider trying to deal on a truck with either.
But some like the chrome..... and for some the bigger the wheel the better.
I'm sure some think I'm a nut case for going Lariat primarily to get auto climate control
Oh....... another Lariat Value Pkg here with painted mirror caps. It appears that Lariat up have painted caps. Not sure if there's an option for them otherwise.
