Here's a picture of my new sending unit DOTZ-9275-D. As expected, it is identical except for the fact that the nipple is 3/8 instead of the original 5/16. I have an adapter that will solve the discrepancy.
Is it a NOS Genuine Ford sender or aftermarket repop? If Ford, did it come with that 9327 hose?
The sender is OEM ford. It came in an original, yet very worn ford box. The cardboard was dark with age and the box had been opened and resealed more than once. Undoubtedly the float and missing adapter hose had been robbed long ago. I have an extra float. I only paid 60.00 for it.

Reason: Um, because I am a ford truck enthusiast.
I called Dennis Carpenter this morning, their hose which is visibly like my original one is unfortunately too short. Several specialty industrial hose suppliers have not been of any help. I'm contemplating using a radiator hose if I can match one up.
Gary is correct. Radiator hoses do not have the special rubber to allow gas to pass through it. There are different rubbers just like there are different steels. Or aluminums.
1st off, I had picked the 9047 (finally got it right) that was straight because your tank has a 45* nipple. Not a 90*. Just as you would not stretch a new 5/16" hose on a 3/8" nipple I would not mount a 90* hose on a 45* nipple. I am curious if the D5TZ9047A is long enough and the correct I.D. Bill had a valid point above that Ford didn't replace the original C8TZ9047F with any Dent part numbers. Length may be the problem. I think what I am going to do when I get to that point on my rig, is buy the D5TZ9047A. And locate a metal tube with the same O.D as the hose's I.D. One that I can use to lengthen the hose. Cut the 9047 in 1/2 at a strategic spot. Then clamp the metal tube in between the halves.
There is nothing like waiting a week for a 5/16 inch fuel sender pickup sock and when it gets here it is for a 3/8!!!!!!! Now I have to order another one and wait another week at least.

I ordered one from D,C. I went ahead and installed my auxiliary tank with no sock on it. I can pretty easily remove the sender later for sock installation. By the way, the hose I got from D.C. for a 73 up truck is actually the same one that was on my truck. It still seems a little short but I might be able to make it work. Photos coming.
Finally got my new auxiliary tank in and finally received the correct 5/16 inch inlet sock. It was easy to remove the sender from the installed tank and slide the sock on the pickup tube. Here are the photos and it shows the hose I ordered for a 73 up which is the only one available, is merely an inch or two short! I think I will remove my metal filler neck pipe and use some exhaust tubing to section in a couple of inches to it. I don't know if it's visible but my Dennis Carpenter hose that costs 50.00 has a large " Made in China" stamped on it.
Well at least you're close to finishing it up(no pun intended). More China stuff imported while the customer is thinking that it's coming from a USA source. They should have to declare where the parts are from when you are ordering them. It's our jobs that are hurting from this import junk. Not everyone can get a manufacturing job at McDonalds.

US law states that foreign goods sold in the US have to have the country of origin marked on them.
I bought a set of 1963 Galaxie hood letters from Carpenter. When they arrived, had a tiny Made in China sticker on the plastic envelope, but it can easily be peeled off.
Probably 95% of repro parts are made in the Orient.
