Got my new fuel tank and it's an exact match to the original.
SWEET. Glad it came through for you. Don't forget a new fuel filler hose. For 68/69 the hose was part number C8TZ9034F.

Wrong part number posted above. Correct part number IS C8TZ9047F.

Thanks for the update Bill. I'll have to try and use my original I suppose.
An auto parts shop should have or be able to get fuel hose. Take your old one and have them match it. If not a marine supply shop can get it. Although it will be more expensive from the marine shop, because it has to meet Coast Guard requirements.
The 9034 appears to be the metal filler pipe. The 9047 looks to be the rubber filler hose.
You are correct Kemosahbee. C8TZ9047F is what I meant. I guess I jinxed myself with all that correcting gobbly gook earlier.
Since there is a 45* nipple on your tank I'm thinking maybe this Dent hose will work. D5TZ9047A at www.dennis-carpenter.com. When this hose was supplied by ford iit was taped in the soft metal sleeve you see in the pic. I am assuming to keep it from squeezing shut and so it wouldn't rub on the frame.

Since there is a 45* nipple on your tank I'm thinking maybe this Dent hose will work. D5TZ9034A The jinx is still present.
D5TZ-9047-A .. Aft Axle Fuel Filler Hose, but it won't work on the OP's 1969. Neither will a 1970/72 F100/350 filler hose* or any 1973/79 F100/350 mid-ship tank filler hose.
1967/69 F100/350 Styleside: The auxiliary fuel tank filler tube pokes thru the quarter panel above the scallop (Bumpside) line, it's almost inline with the in-cab tank filler tube.
1970/72 F100/350 Styleside: The fuel filler tube pokes thru the quarter panel below the scallop (Bumpside) line.
1973/79 F100/350 Styleside: The mid-ship and aft axle fuel filler tubes poke thru the quarter panel below the Dentside scallop line.
*D1TZ-9047-C was replaced by D5TZ-9047-C / D1TZ-9047-D was replaced by D5TZ-9047-D .. but C8TZ-9047-F was not replaced by a 1973/79 number due to the location of the 1967/69 filler tube.

Dang it. I gotta slow down. I'm gonna hurt myself. That loud POP you just heard was me getting my head out.
HA HA. Told ya it was loud. In the mean time this was thalvorson's thread.
thalvorson initiated the thread, but in post #14 (typed 11/11) it was by mrpotatohead, that you and I and etc. have been responding to ever since.
I wish members would type new threads when asking questions, instead of hijacking other members threads, because this causes confusion...as you can see.
The D5TZ-9047-D from Dennis Carpenter looks exactly like my original one. I'll call tomorrow and see if they can measure the overall length and I.D. for comparison purposes.

Here's a picture of my new sending unit DOTZ-9275-D. As expected, it is identical except for the fact that the nipple is 3/8 instead of the original 5/16. I have an adapter that will solve the discrepancy.
