did you check both your pumps and filters? almost sounds like the engine gets starved, maybe too much vacuum builds up after a while in the system moving the chunk of what-have-you to block. engine runs for a bit until it runs out of food. won't start up immediately because that pressure is still there, then after a bit lets off, the chunk settles back down. just my thoughts. It's also possible i'm dead wrong.

With the clutch pedal fully depressed, the clutch does not fully disengage. The first time this happened, we discovered that the lower clutch push rod was bad. Replacing it seemed to cure the problem. Now, it's back again. Was too late when we got home to look in there and see what's going on, but I hope the problem is as obvious as it was the last time.
The clutch bell crank is famous for wearing out the holes at the pivot points. I replaced all of my clutch linkage, last year. Check Morris 4x4 for replacement parts. Alternatively, you could weld the worn parts and grind them smooth, to repair what you have. There are also plastic bushings in the bell crank that wear out and need replacement.
