Leveling kit

I have a 2012 f150 super cab XLT, the front is 1 1/8" lower than the rear. I would like to level it. I can do a a cheap $30 aluminum kit and place an 1/8" plate with it, or a 1.5" polythalamide kit. I've read that a 2" kit with give you can 1.5" higher in the front. Will an 1.5" kit make it dead level? Help ASAP would be much appreciated, i will be running bigger tires

I have a 2012 SCAB as well. I went with a 2" kit up front and upped the tire size to 285/75 R17 Nittos. Before and after measure from the ground to the apex of the front fender well, went from 37" to 39.5". It's almost perfectly level. I really like the look.

The spacer size and achieved "lift" height are not a 1:1 ratio.

For instance, a 1" thick spacer will net you around 1-1/4" in height increase. Since you're currently experiencing 1-1/8" rake, then it'll be challenging to level the truck with a spacer since most kits start at 1-1/2" height increase. You'll likely need a larger block out back, btw the stock 4wd block is 1-1/4" thick.

Theoretically, if you got 1.5" higher up front with a 2" spacer, If i added a 1.5" spacer up front i could have only an 1/8" rake?

How are you going to get 1.5" of increase from a 2" spacer?
A 2" spacer should net you around 2.5-2.75" of increase.

I did a 1.5" spacer kit on mine. The front visually looked just barely a tad bit higher than the rear afterward. There is no way I'd ever do the 2.0" or taller kits. I am already getting popping from the front end while backing into parking spaces. The larger kits would be really rough on the front suspension.

I did the 2 1/2" kit from Rough Country on my 2014. Was $199 and includes new rear shocks.

Definitely worth the money

I originally put in a 2.5" kit in the front - it's still there, but it is putting a lot of stress on everything up there, according to my mechanic. I really enjoyed the look, before I put a fiberglass cap on the truck last week, which settled the rear a bit. I am adding a leaf in the rear, but I'm also going to go down to 1.5" up front - front end repairs ain't cheap! 2.5" was too high, for sure. I didn't do enough research! You will likely be happy with 2"

For the record, my tires are 285s.

What Chandler said. I did the 2" AS front and ended up doing the 3" rear blocks. I haul firewood at times and it looked awful with anything in the bed, the front looked that much higher. Don't forget to adjust your headlights down a little
