I'm in the market to replace the stock stereo in my 2013 F150 XLT.
I know that I need a $250-$300 face plate, and different wire harnesses to keep the Sync, and steering wheel controls. So on top of keeping the Sync, steering wheel controls, I want to ad Sirius/XM, and a single disc CD. I'm not worried about DVD player, or GPS though the GPS would be nice, and I wouldn't have my other one stuck to the windshield.
So I want to know what you all have picked out for your aftermarket stereo.
Pictures, and goodies are a plus, and a dollar figure would help. I'm not planning on spending $1000, just nicer than what I have now.
Here's a picture of my stock stereo.
Hope y'all have had a good week so far.
WOW, 93 looks, and notta comment
I've pretty much picked out what I'm getting.
Pioneer AVH-X3800BHS, adding a Sirius/XM thing, and wire harnesses to keep the steering wheel functions, and the Bluetooth/Sync thing, and a $250 face plate.
I've also wanted to replace my factory, I don't have the touch screen though. But would like to keep my Sirius without an external device to run it . I haven't been able to find an inexpensive aftermarket one with the Sirius built in. Woukd you be interested in selling your after you swap?

The factory stereo that I'm replacing does not have Sirius, just the button for an add on option I guess. And it sounds weak, those are the two biggest reasons I want to upgrade.
Would I sell it? Yup.
I'm subscribing to this thread, because I have the same radio and I am interested in upgrading also. Sync sucks. I'd rather have a good GPS/touchscreen CD player that I can still use the steering wheel buttons with.
I currently have Sirius in my truck , I just have the non touch screen version. I wonder if it would just be plug and play? If your willing g to sell yours would you sell the whole face plate with it?

I do like the Sync, and have a nice Garmin GPS that I like a lot. And a touch screen stereo with GPS is way more money than I'm going to spend.
I'm getting a couple of wire harnesses that will keep my Sync, and the steering wheel controls.
The best deal I've found so far is through Crutchfield.com and get the Pioneer stereo that I have pictured in the earlier post. Dash kit, all harnesses, Sirius tuner etc for about $700. The same thing from local dealers are telling me at least $1000.

I most likely would consider sell those pieces. My stereo does not have Sync, and it is not a touch screen.

Wow, good video, and I've been calling dealers about putting a higher end factory stereo in, and none of the dealers could help me out.
I did check out the websight that they mention on that video and got prices from them. T go from my 4" screen. to the 8" GPS, Sirius, CD and all was $2300.
Soit looks like I'm going to stay with the Pioneer that I'm looking at through Crutchfield.com. I'm going to do some more checking around tomorrow.

Holy cow. That is about $1300 more than I was expecting it to cost. I highly doubt that I'll be doing this conversion anytime soon to Black Betty.
