I just picked up a 2012 F150 XLT, Crew cab, 4x4, 6.5' box. It's got the stock chrome rims which I think are 18".
I'm looking to put a leveling kit on and some bigger A/T tires.
What's a good leveling kit to put on? something that won't affect suspension/steering too much? What's most people running size and brand? Is it just the front that get's lifted?
Also, what size tires can I put on with the leveling kit? I'll probably go with BFG AT. Or Duratrac's.
2" Revtek level kit, wireless air bags and 285/75/18's (34.8" tall X 11.22" wide) Toyo Open Country AT II's. Yes, it only levels the front. No rubbing after I pulled the wheel liner flaps back with a zip tie.
Looks like a 2" front level is probably what I should do. I'll wait till I get the truck and measure it on level ground. I don't want the front higher then the rear.
a coil spacer will be the cheapest.... you can get a 35" tire under the truck. if you want a lil better ride quality go with a coilover over the coil spacer...
You can get the 2.5" leveling strut extension. (front spacers only)
Or the 2.5" leveling lift kit (front spacers, rear blocks and shocks)
Obviously both will lift the front 2.5". How much would the rear blocks lift the truck?
I guess it all depends how you want the truck to look. Level or raked in the back a little.
the rear of my truck is sitting about 1" lower with that kit installed... but i do also have a cab on the back and carry my tools. i havnt installed it yet but they sent me a 1" spacer for the rear and new u bolts...

JMO but I'd find some 2.5"-3" blocks, rather than stacking blocks on top of the stock blocks. Some people stack them but it's better not to.
