Cracking injector lines
Thanks angelo
You may see marks where the original clamps were installed.
I've seen 2 different configurations in photos and yet another different configuration in a drawing.
Scroll down to the 3rd photo in the link below to see one configuration. This is how mine are installed on my 1987 6.9L and I'm sure it is original. Notice that each clamp is only holding 3 lines:

Here is a posted photo from a different topic thread showing the front clamp on the driver's side holding all 4 lines instead of 3:

Finally here is a drawing from 'US Diesel Parts' in a listing for a new #4 fuel line that shows the front driver's side clamp holding 4 lines and the rear driver's side clamp holding only 2 lines. (It also states that the clamps are discontinued and not available):

You'll have to examine your lines to see where the clamps should go. If the lines look like the first photo showing each of the 4 (grey) clamps holding 3 lines, DO NOT try to bend the number 8 line (driver's side closest to the intake) in order to get a clamp over all 4 lines. That would put too much stress on that line and the connection fittings. Just install it over the 3 lines as shown.
If your lines look like the ones painted Red in the second photo then you should install the clamp that way. It could be that someone bent that line to fit like that but I certainly would not recommend bending one to fit and the first method shown, each clamp holding 3 lines is very adequate.
As far as the drawing, I haven't seen vibration dampener clamps installed that way in any online photos, (with the rear clamp on driver's side holding only 2 lines). If the front clamp is holding 4 lines (as shown) then that configuration would also be very adequate.
Until today I've always thought that the clamps were the same for all of the IDIs 83-94. Possibly different in the E Series Vans or the Bronco.
