That's still what Kelly Blue Book says for my area, and KBB is the only source dealers use around here, so that's what I'd be able to get from it. Used trucks for sale around here confirm the huge price difference between cabs. Values may be different in other areas.

The scab is definitely a more manageable wheelbase in the city and parking lots, but resale was important to me so I went with a screw 6.5.

Well, I don't have a wife or even a dog to pack around so I ordered the Supercab. I do wish that back door opened independently of the front door - I'm beginning to find it a bit of a pain in the butt to have to open two doors just to put something in the back of the cab.

It really sucks when you're in a parking lot.

That is certainly a downside. I like the suicide door feature when you have room to fully open both doors, but tight parking spots aren't it. I often end up putting groceries or whatever in the front passenger side because it's easier in tight parking spots.

It used to be a lot worse for me because I lived in a commie college town where all the parking spots were shrunk down to Prius size. Even perfect parking left me with only a few inches between my tires and the white lines. Especially tough with my old F-250. Now I live in an ag community and parking spots are luxuriously wide because every other car on the road is a truck.

I beg to differ as a former Benz owner. I bought the F150 solely because of its resale potential and the steep discounts at dealerships. $25,000 three years down the road is a substantial amount. Both the Benz and F150 have the same MSRP.

I got the 6.5' bed because it holds value better than the 5.5'.
