Anybody have any thoughts on this ? I have seen the Crew cab at the dealer but they didn't have any of the Super crews. I thought I may be able to save a few bucks with the super crew, but from the pictures I have seen, there doesn't seem like alot of space back there. Ususally it is just me and occasionally the missus and rarely do I have back seat passengers however I plan on having this truck for a long, long time. Also use the back for extra storeage of inventory etc.
So some imput from guys who have the extended cab would be useful !

I have an 08 super cab now. and I order a crew cab two weeks ago. u never have enough space. You might think you do but you don't. the only thing is if you want an 8 ft bed u will be longer. its hard enough parking with the truck i have now. and one other thing is how the doors open with the super cab u have to open the front door to get into the back.
Go with the crew cab. Even if I was single I would still get the crew cab, you can always fold down the rear seats so that you have a flat floor and easy access to whatever you put back there.
My previous trucks have been supercabs and I finally got tired of trying to cram way too much stuff in a way too small area so this last truck was a crew cab. Obviously for passengers it's great but it's even better alone! There's usable storage (albeit not huge) underneath the seats and some storage behind so you gain there. Also, as 2kmelat noted, you don't have to open the front door to get the rear door open on the cc version. If you care, resale is better with a cc as well. My complaint with the short bed crew cab? The fuel tank is way too small at 26 gallons; it's smaller than what was in my 08 6.4 supercab short bed, so what's up with that?!?!
I'm currently driving a 2006 F-250 Super Cab and I have a 2011 F-250 Super Cab on order. I thought about a Crew Cab but like the look of a Super Cab better. As far as resale, my current truck has 116,000 miles on it and the dealer is giving me $18,000 trade in value as long as I don't exceed 119,000 miles on it before the trade. I believe the 2011 will be at the dealer before the end of this month. It is really personal preference, get the cab you like best.
I have owned both and would never go back to a SuperCab. I agree that the only real complaint I had with my truck was the 26 gallon tank but I fixed that issue by installing a Titan 52 gallon tank.

My guess is that they probably made it smaller to make room for the DEF/urea tank, but I'll admit that I haven't crawled underneath to look. It's one of my very few complaints too.
I'm in the SuperCab camp, partly because I drove standard cab trucks for almost 40 years before moving to the SC with the previous Ford (and now again with the '11), so the SC was a huge improvement. I've driven a Dodge CC rental so I've had a bit of experience with a CC.
Other reasons I'll stick with the SC SB:
CC SB and LB are just too big for city driving IMO. And that lets out the SC LB too--at least for me. It's hard enough to find parking for my SC SB. I know--"move to the sticks." Did that most of my life. Even so, I still had to go to town/big city sometimes.
The SC SB fits in my garage (by about an inch end to end and floor to door). The CC doesn't even come close.
I have an excuse not to carry extra passengers, other than maybe one in the SC back "seat."
I happen to like the clamshell doors (as opposed to true suicide doors) on the SC. You can stand in the open doorway and reach things in back and in front without walking around an open door. Makes loading and unloading easier too.
I agree with AZBaker--it comes down to personal preference. I also got about the same trade-in deal as he got and was happy with it.

With the seats folded down the "flat floor" is almost at shoulder level.
The one thing I really disliked in either the new Ford or GM is the way the back seats work
The only real way to decide is to go to a dealer and have the two of them side by side, then you will see the obvious difference, mostly that on the SC that the seat bottom is about 5" shorter.
I have the 350 CC, long bed, I pull a 36' trailer, not hard at all to get around....I live in the Keys, so it's not like I have tons of room to manuvre....Came with 37 gal. tank, but getting the 66 gal. Titan when it's available....
My wife is 5' 2" drives it no problem, with the camera, parks it like a champ....I was concerned about the long bed and her being able to park it, no problem....IMO the long bed is more practical.
