if you are just putting around a vacuum secondary 4bbl will not open so basically you would be running a 2bbl, but just in case you do ever have to use it then it would be there. May actually be cheaper in the long run too if you have to buy adapters to get to a 2bbl rather than just getting a 4bbl up front. Just a thought.

About the only thing that's going to "wear out" is the plastic throttle linkage bushings.
If it's still the stock 4180 a 3-1346 rebuild kit is around $50, and everything goes right back as it is.
