460 carbs

I'm putting a 460 in a Ford truck and have several carburetor options. The present carb and intake I have is the spread bore Motorcraft. I have heard some bad things about these carbs so I am considering several options. Holley square bore 4 barrels, such as a stock '85 Ford-Holley 4180, a Holley 4160 off a '70 Chrysler 440 (list 4366) or maybe a Holley 3310. All these Holleys are square bore carbs and I realize that I will have to find a square bore intake maniford to use them. Thanks.

Moved to proper forum.

You can buy square to spread bore adapters. Any carb in the 700-800 CFM range will work.

The 3310 should work pretty good.

Better than your other choices listed.

Summit has an addapter for this application. It works great. I had to call as it was not listed in the catalog. It replaces the egr spacer.
