Carb Options...

Hello all!!!

I have a 1977 F250 Custom with a 460CID engine. It currently has the stock 4350D 4 barrel carb. I was wondering, if I want to retain the stock intake manifold and somply replace the original carb, what other carbs will be a direct bolt on fit? I really don't want to replace the manifold but the current carb isn't working correctly anymore and I want to bolt on a newer carb that will fit.

Thanks in advance for the information!!!

John

460's love Holley carbs. You don't have to go big CFM either. The only real catch is that the EGR extension off the back may interfere with larger Holleys that have the big rear fuel bowl. I just replaced the EGR plate with a phenolic spacer and bolted a Holley 670 Street Avenger right up to it with the original studs.

Any Holley or Edelbrock will work depending on personal preference, Im gonna get flamed quick here, but I think 700 is a good size to be in the neighborhood of on a stock motor.
