E40D drain plug

E40D drain plug
I installed a drain plug in my e40d deep pan (4x4). I put the plug in the lowest area of the pan, the small square area just below the magnet.
Is this ok? Will it interfere with the pick-up on the filter?

I would have checked the location of the filter and any other things that might be in the way then determined a good spot to put the drain. I have installed many auto trans pan drain plugs, i typically put it on the side to keep from potentially getting hit. The main point of the plug is to drain most of the pan so it does not gush all over once you drop the pan. Even if you drop one end it still seems to splash and make a mess.

Yeah I regret my choice of location for the reasons you stated haha
I think it'll be ok as well, but you guys know way more than I do.
P.S. thanks for your help with the brakes btw. I adjusted the rear brakes (left was WAY out) and got them bleed... Finally.
