Design Tech Remote Starter/Keyless Entry on F-150
The past couple of days I have been installing a Design Tech Keyless Entry/ Remote Start system on my 93' F-150-2wd,302,SWB. I got the Remote starter working fine, but I have been unable to locate the lock and unlock wires underneath the dash. I can't locate where they go after they go through the rubber tubing from the door into the cab. Have any of you guys put one of these systems on and had to locate these wires or do you know from common knowledge where they would be located? I though they would be found coming from near the fuse box, but can't find them. Any help would be appreciated. Thanks in advance.

Before you go and cut up all kinds of wires like I did, get a test light and remove the door panel. Remove the plastic panel and you'll see all the wires wrapped in black tape. I hooked up my keyless entry system there, since I couldn't figure out how to do it at the kick panel. If you have the test light you'll figure out which wires to cut right away.
I've had mine at least two years now, and have had no problems.

The wires you want are definetly at the passenger side kick panel. I found this the easiest place to hook them up. The wire colors that you need are Pink/Light Green, Pink/Yellow. You can get your power for the door locks at the same place. The wire color for the power is Black/White. This is the power wire coming from the fuse panel for the power door locks. If you Design Tech remote starter has built in relays which I believe it does you won't need to add any as previously mentioned. Design Tech has a web site with a lot of information for installing their remote starters in most vehicles. I have two Design Tech remote starters now.
