Good morning Tom! Just because the vehicle is rated to pull x amount of weight doesn't mean it can pull it easy or it should. He is pulling a box down the road. Enclosed trailers pull hard regardless of the weight. Pulling a 3500lb boat like you have down the road will pull way easier then a 3500lb square box. The vehicle will work way harder pulling the box down the road. GCWR ratings are mostly a joke as far as I am concerned. Just because your vehicle is rated for it doesn't mean it can pull it easily.

I'm very familiar Troy, I've owned a couple enclosed trailers in addition to the years I spent as a truck driver. It's always amazed me how people like to talk about towing fuel economy as a function of weight, when wind resistance means far more in most cases.
My point was simply that I don't see him hurting anything as long as it doesn't overheat.

Ok wasn't sure with your response. I believe he is hurting something. It may not initially show up but it will eventually. He is working the living crap out of that thing. At least at this point it is under warranty if something breaks.
