Quite some weather you're having for your trip. Be careful out there...I remember being towed out of Laramie in '08 after my truck caught on fire. Always heard rumors about trucks blowing over, so I asked the wrecker driver. He told me they sometimes pick up 5 or 6 semis a week that are blown over in heavy winds.
Wow Mike...what'cha doing to that one?
New frame. Could have just done a front half but someone changed the color in me so I had to do the whole thing.

I feel the same. Except there's no rest to be had here either....

We made it to the Baymont hotel in Pueblo CO.. wind not as bad as yesterday but still pretty strong.. Fuel economy avg is just a hair over 12 now..
This is a great little truck but could really benefit from a tuner that allows you to manage shift strategy.. I asked over on the Wrangler Forums if such a tuner exists and the silence is deafening...
Not much for Chrysler gas tuning period. Pretty pointless normally. You would benefit from it for the trans for sure. But trans tuning on a Chrysler is risky business.
Not that I doubt you, but why so risky on Chrysler Transmissions?
The Five Speed in my Rubicon has some really great reviews from the Jeep community, but very few people tow... They seem to be more heavily involved in offroading, rock climbing etc..
They've always had overheating problems while towing. Heck, prior ownership cancelled warranties on people towing heavy. Even within weight. They aren't made for towing or power.
Hmmmm... I know that they came out with new heads for the Jeep 3.6 in 2014 as they had sporadic problems in the previous years.. sort of like the Job1 6.7's in 2011..
Well, I bought the bumper to bumper lifetime warranty - so I guess I may just end up wringing its neck until I can come up with a better solution...
Since this is Dars Daily Driver, its here to stay..
