Evening guys...
I ended up with a Migraine this morning which put us behind - and we visited our friends up in Custer.
Well we made it as far as Cheyenne WY and we saw very few trucks on the roads and a few campers. Must have had something to do with the 50+ mph winds. It was either a headwind or crosswind for us. I sure am glad I bought that sway controller now. It really helped stabilize everything. You know you are headed into a fierce headwind when all you can do is 55 mph going downhill and in third gear standing on the gas. It kept downshifting itself to 2nd and I would bump it back to 3rd. On one of the many uphill segments the Water temp hit 245 one time and I slowed down 5 mph. We did not go over 65 mph today.
Tomorrow we visit friends in Loveland and will get into Pueblo a day late. But that's okay...
Fuel economy overall is at 9.7 right now.
Good evening gang. Busy day around here with all the house painting. The west side is all done except the fascia trim. The north side is mostly done except some edging and trim. Don't know if we will get a chance to finish that off this year but we got further than I initially thought we would so that is good. About half the house left for next spring.
FINALLY got the down stairs bathroom tiled, going to grout it tomorrow after work. Then it's drop ceiling, bath fan, vanity and finishes and it will be DONE.
I spent today working on project RZR, only have 1 more week to get it done.

Quite some weather you're having for your trip. Be careful out there...I remember being towed out of Laramie in '08 after my truck caught on fire. Always heard rumors about trucks blowing over, so I asked the wrecker driver. He told me they sometimes pick up 5 or 6 semis a week that are blown over in heavy winds.

Sounds like you need a bigger truck! You are working that poor jeep to death.
