So I just got it back and still have the wind noise. They replaced the whole panel and keypad and it still has wind noise when I get up to 70. I took it back and they told me that all the new trucks have the wind noise and there's no fix for it. Soooo. I'm going to buy this chrome pad covered mentioned above and hopefully it covers it enough to stop the noise. If it does I'll paint it gloss black to match the trim.
"New trucks have the wind noise." Hmm. I'll take the nonFord truck behind curtain number #2 without the wind noise. Thanks.

My thoughts exactly. Going to make a YouTube video of the situation and post it all over ford forums and hopefully get some attention brought to the situation.

I would as well. You will be doing potential buyers a service. Just prepare yourself to get persecuted by blindly loyal Ford apologists. I should know, I am a reformed one.
Here's a comparison of mine without vs. my dad's with. It would have to be the buttons themselves making noise since the foam gasket on the back of the button panel has a nice seal.
Yeah it's definitely the buttons because I covered the seal by itself and it still had noise. That should work. It places the buttons away from the streamline.
Doesn't snap over the existing buttons or use tape?
How does it look? I'm thinking of sanding and then painting it black with a clear coat.
My 2015 Lariat is like yours, I haven't noticed any wind noise but maybe I am just deaf.
Wife's Taurus that she had and the Escape Titanium she has now both have the smooth even with the frame buttons. However they had so much road noise I couldn't tell if there was wind noise or not. The truck is much quieter inside.

I think that is part of the "issue" in that the noise isn't the characteristic wind noise. It's hard to explain just what exactly it is.
It's attach a with a double stick tape. I'm not sure if you could get a great finish sanding it down and painting it black. I might suggest using a self etching primer on the unwanted chrome and then going over it with black and clear. Its hard to hide the scratches from anything but a super high grit paper with a high gloss finish.
So I just got it and actually like the way it looks. Matches the other chrome well so no need painting. <br/>Even better news is that I just drove it going 90mph and no wind noise at all. All I hear is the wind rushing by the window and no noise like it's coming in. Works perfect and I'm really happy. Thanks for all the help.

Awesome news! And I agree, it looks really good on your truck. I'm just hesitant to go overboard on mine since I already added the chrome strip along the bottom of the windows similar to the KR. If mine develops the subject wind noise though, I'll definitely go this route!
