While the segment was interesting in a sparkly shop, this was all show without listing any of the details/caveats of an upgrade like this. They made no mention of the need for tuning for a stage 1 injector, nor did they cover how the truck will sound like hell until the air is worked out of the oil rails and the tuning is squared away. No mention of the need to replace the injector bolts, the need to drain the cylinders of fluids to prevent hydrolock, nor the need for air mods to deal with the added fuel.
While many of us in the 7.3L world already know "It's not that simple", I mention this for the newbs that watch a segment of video and get the impression of "Sheeoot.... Ah c'n swap injectors if that's awl thar is."
Nonetheless - nice share Otto396! It's nice to put a face to the good people I've worked with.
The time slot on those shows is only so long. I agree though, they did leave out all the nitty gritty details of injector replacement, but I am sure most advertisements don't show all the work required to install the certain part they are advertising. Even installation manuals miss some of the details sometimes.
After all, they are trying to sell the injector, not the job of installing it.
