Was not getting any fuel to the carb. I checked all the lines and they are all clear and pass air. Moved on to the filter on the carb, clean! Moved on to the filter attached to the bottom of the pump. Opened it up and found it filled with 3 inches of brown (rust i assume ) crap in the bottom of the filter canister. Changed the filter and reconnected everything . STILL nothing . I primed it by sucking the gas from the tank line to the pump. My question is could i have killed the pump with all that brown crap and should i change the pump , or could it be something else. PLEASE HELP ME

 

It's possible some of that trash has reached the inlet/outlet valves of the pump and is keeping them from sealing. You may be able to flush it out but I would just go ahead and change the pump.

 

Fuel pumps are cheap, just change it
