So when I purchased my truck, the owner showed me that the selector motor wasnt there, and that I would need to get a new one in order to be able to switch into 4wd. So I did a quick google search for the part and found this, https://www.summitracing.com/parts/r...nvQaAjVs8P8HAQ
He made it sound like it was gonna be some big deal to replace but $35 or whatever isnt that bad, as long as this is the correct part.
Also, is there anything else I need to do to get my 4wd functional for winter? I plan to check the differential fluids and transfer case either this weekend or the next. Im a complete n00b when it comes to manual hubs, Ive only ever had 4wd in my dads Suburban, and thats just a push button deal. Ive heard of people replacing them? Any information regarding any of the above is greatly appreciated!
You can find any part or information using the nomenclature found on your Transfer case. They're not Ford Specific. They're used in just about all Domestic 4x4 Applications and Manufactured by BW.
