Transfer Case in 4WD?
I have a 2001 SuperCrew. Being in New England and not driving it during the summer, the underside is pretty rough from the salt. So bad in fact, the shell of the electric transfer shift motor fell apart in my hands months ago. i figured i would fix it before the winter. I was under there the other day and tried to spin the driveshaft to the front diff. It seems to be engaged. Should it spin freely? Do you think the transfer case is locked into 4WD without the front Diff being locked in? Please let me know what you think.
