Have a 2003 Navigator that the liftgate will not close. I have hit the latch with PB Blaster and nothing. Weird thing the time is the latch will not close. When I slam it the door shuts but the latch does not secure it. The liftgate button on the remote and the one in the truck do nothing. I even tried manually pushing the latch over and nothing happened. It use to "bing" when I would do this. Any idea what I can try.

I was finally able to get it to latch shut, but before after close you could hear the lift gate latch make a noise like it was latching fully. Now it's almost like a manual close. If switch was gone would it cause all the auto futures of the lift gate to stop functioning ?
