Hey guys I was wondering if anybody else had this problem sometimes, not all the time when i roll my driver window down it will not come back up, I don't think it is the motor (though it is possible) and i have checked the switch. If I wait for a while it will decide to work again. I had a problem like this on another truck and we would "hot wire" the motor to roll it up. Also on another note, when i roll my passenger side window down it gets real slow at bottom and kinda turns sideways, both motors and gear kits are relatively new (though I know that doesn't make a huge difference) thanks!
I haven't taken the door apart in my '92 yet, but in my '64 I had similar problems with the manual winder. It basically needed cleaning and lubricating to get all of the mechanisms working smoothly. The motor may be working too hard and overheating and needing to cool down a bit. I need to do this to my '92 as well.
Yep. On my '87, the windows worked smoother in the summer, and more sluggishly in the winter. I attributed it to the grease. Thicker, so slower in winter. I sold the '87 and bought the '92 before I dug into it.
