Found lots of window issues here but not exactly like mine. So I thought I'd ask about it. 98 f150 4x4 the drivers window is stuck up. It clicks by the up button but not the down button. The pass window works fine by both buttons, the door locks work fine. Took out the switch it tests with a ohm meter fine. The switch has power to it. I took out the window motor jumpered it to the battery and it works in both directions. Manually ran the window up and down and it moves freely. I swapped the relays under the dash and everything operates the same. I'm not sure where to go next for trouble shooting this problem. Any suggestions?
maybe the gear on the window frame or in the motor? i havent taken one of these apart yet, so im not sure what transfers from them motor to window. Also, try putting weight on the motor if you still have it out when you jump it. The motor might not be strong enough to lift the window
In my case the window gets half way then goes real slow up or down pulled the door panel and got out the Brake free tried to hit all the window moving parts and rails, no dice, I think a new Motor is in the near future , I looked up bronco grave yard I see there add here on FTE, they have the left and right motor for $49.00 ea plus shipping ? to the OP have you tried the door panel switch maybe a wire is not connected or shorting out for some odd reason.

I would guess your slow moving window is the felt worn off the top channel of the door, not the motor. Back to OP the switch is good and has power to it. So I'm sure power is leaving the switch, going up sounds normal, going down is nothing. So where the Tan with light blue stripe wire leaving the drivers door switch goes, is not getting to the window motor. I also tried opening and closing the door trying to engage a broken wire, even moving the bundle by hand. No luck, not even a hint. So I really don't think it's a broken wire. Any more ideas? know where the Tan w/lb stripe from the switch goes to?
