Power window problem
My passenger window will go down, but not up. The window is completely down in the door.
I went thru the hassel of removing the window motor; the gear spins ONE way ( to roll the window down). I thought the motor was bunk, so I bought a new one. The new one does the same thing....spins one way, not the other. So, I assume the problem isnt the motor.
Considering I can get the motor to spin, with both the driver and passenger side controls, down, but not up, Im assuming its not the switches.
I literally pulled each and every fuse, under the dash, and under the hood, and theyre all good. So, that eliminates that theory too.
I obviouly have a short somewhere. Theres juice going to the motor, no doubt about it, it just seems strange that the motor will only turn one way... and like I said, I purchased a new one and it did the same thing?!?!?!
Perhaps there's a current polarity issue? I have no clue.
Id appreciate any suggestions.

If the passenger's side switch is dead then the window won't work from either side.
The power and ground signals from both switches go through the passenger's side switch to the passenger's side motor.
Are you sure about the grounding? My manual shows both windows are grounded through the driver (left door) switch. I had the same problem and ended up changing the driver door switch. Worked good for a while the started giving my problems again. I cleaned both connections with some electrical contact cleaner and haven't had a problem since.
