98 F150 4x4 ext Window problem

So i lost the ability to roll my drivers and passenger windows down. At first I thought it was a window motor so I replaced my drivers window motor. No luck there so I took the new window motor out and hit the switch the gear on the motor would go up and down. then replaced a relay basically for the hell of it just praying that was the problem but I was wrong. By the way the passenger window does not go down with either switch. So if anyone could help it would be appreciated.

I don't quite remember when my motor went south but I think the transmission had some cheeseball bearings in it. Like they were plastic of some sort. Lots of graphite like grease too. Might be worth checking since the motor turns. Could you move the window at all when you were changing the motor out? Funny they both don't move. My replacements were from a JY, still working too.

nope no window movement at all from both sides. it seems like the motors arent getting enough power to roll the windows down.

Maybe there is some corrosion involved in the connections. Time to get the multimeter out.

yeah i tested the connectors and i think there's a bad wire somewhere.so when it heats up this week i will look to diagnose if there is a corroded wire somewhere along the line.
