They should ask you about if you want them when you go to pay.
Also we have to use a little care here if we get to far into the legal advice
area. It's a place that they frown on us going. so we have to keep things
very general. That said. I have one thing I can say. Be careful what you say
online because it has been known to come back and bite someone even with
a good case.
If it were me and I could talk places into it I would get statements from them.
Also I think an independent look at the truck would be a good idea for two reasons.
Documentation of the work or lack of and knowing what is good and what's not
so you don't get any surprise down the road. Even something as simple as a
pre-sales inspection where they take a look at the truck might be enough.
I know of 2 Ford dealers that I would trust to do a good job and one independent
here in Tacoma that is very well liked and has good reviews.
The two Ford dealers. One is Horizon Ford Truck Center. Tukwila, WA
I had work on co truck done there. All went well. Boss wanted to kill the guy that quit
a few weeks later. He bent a valve be screwing around trying to make it backfire.
The other is Jim Fugate Ford and they are in Enumclaw.
I get you the name of the shop in Tacoma if you want he does PowerStrokes. Found it.

I really wasn't looking for legal advice. I was looking for opinions regarding the situation. What should have been checked first? Would the repair have anything to do with the problem? That sort of information. I even made up a questionable asking for an opinion about each repair.
Regarding being careful what I say; That is why I haven't mentioned the shops name. After the Washington state investigation concludes, I will post the complaint number and every one can read the results.
You're right. We now live in a country where you can witness a brutal murder and when the cops arrive you point out the murderer and say, "That's the Mother F&*#!er who did the murder!" and the cops arrest you...
As for the other things you've since found, he's gonna be responsible for the t case if it's now bad. I think you should have those things corrected somewhere else and send him the bill. It would be funny if that bill was $5k.lol. get your ducks inn a row if you plan on a lawsuit.
I know exactly what he is going to say... "I didn't do that". That's what he said about the big dent in the tail gate... The guy has NO honor....
I picked up the transfer case fill plug today. I checked the filler hole and it isn't clean.... Can anyone recommend something to flush the transfer case out?

Yes, generic Mercon V from your closest wally world... Load it, run it in 4x4 and dump it. And then refill...
And you are good to go... It isn't a complicated Xfer case in your truck... Now our Expy, it mows thru fluid, as it is always "thinkin"....

Mercon LV is what's in mine. You should check the owners manual for your year.
I would pull the drain plug and run a pint in and let it wash anything out
before filling it for the first run. Be sure to check what you wash out and also
later what you drain out.
This is why you always demand your old parts back.
You may have him caught with his pants down on the injector replacement. Seems to me the normal diagnosis would have the tech check fuel pressure first from the pump. How could he say the injectors would be bad due to the bar pump if he replaced the injectors first. Seems he would need to replace the pump first to know. You should get a copy of the ford diagnostic strategy for the vehicles no run/ No start symptoms it had. You could possibly then tell if he followed that strategy.
Would you happen to know where I can find the ford diagnostic strategy for the vehicles no run/ No start symptoms?
I do blame Ford. They should have stepped up and helped with the problems. I had the truck worked on a couple years ago. The mechanic said he went to a Ford Diesel class and the first thing the instructor said was," Pay close attention. This engine will make you a lot of money." I never forgot it...
Just read all the horror stories on the net and this forum. This is extremely stressful, especially at my age. Wonder how many owners suffered serious medical problems after having to deal with the problems.
On the flip side you could also say that uninformed customers created this cottage industry.
Thanks for the link, but it doesn't let me see the doccument. I have been searching "2005 ford f250 dies when hot starts when cold" The more I get into this, it is obvious the fuel pump was the problem.

If the customers knew what the problems were, they might not need a mechanic. So what you are alluding to is everyone who buys any vehicle should know its workings and inherent problems. Most people don't even know where the battery is. No, if Ford had stepped up in the beginning and took responsibility, we would not have this industry. You have to remember this industry feeds of the 6.0. This is way and beyond normal wear and tear. It is criminal!
