As I said, I haven't looked at the truck since I got it back, other than to hook up my battery tender. I took a short tour around the engine compartment also today and found a couple things.
Yep that is an unsecured Injector harness cable right up against the serpentine belt...
That is the dip stick attachment not bolted down. I actually put it on the stud as it was just hanging unattached.
Honest to God, I am afraid to snoop any further... Remember. he had all the injectors out...
Now you have some thing to point out to the credit card Co.
For the transfer case plug ask at a transmission shop or if you
happen to be near me (you never said) try Billy Bob's Off Road.

Thank you for the offer, but I am too far away. I am going to the local transmission shop today. Do you know if the transmission and transfer case share the same fluid?
The credit card company wants another shop to address the bill, but so far I haven't got any of them to do it due to legal exposure. I can't blame them. One injector shop knew the guy and do not recommend him...
This is why you always demand your old parts back.
You may have him caught with his pants down on the injector replacement. Seems to me the normal diagnosis would have the tech check fuel pressure first from the pump. How could he say the injectors would be bad due to the bar pump if he replaced the injectors first. Seems he would need to replace the pump first to know. You should get a copy of the ford diagnostic strategy for the vehicles no run/ No start symptoms it had. You could possibly then tell if he followed that strategy.
As for the other things you've since found, he's gonna be responsible for the t case if it's now bad. I think you should have those things corrected somewhere else and send him the bill. It would be funny if that bill was $5k.lol. get your ducks inn a row if you plan on a lawsuit.
I should have the right document here on the workshop DVDs I have.
Also Ford does have a transfer case fluid. But it's really just an ATF.
I have to look up the specs on that one to be sure don't want you putting
the wrong fluid in and killing it.
SIG40 I need too know the year truck you have so I can look it up.
If you posted it I missed reading it.

I have a 2005 F250. Stopped at the parts store and picked up the fluid. Micron something. Went to the Ford dealer and ordered the plug. $8.. They didn't have it in stock. I stopped at a transmission shop first to see if they had a plug, but they said I had to get it from Ford. They also told me there was a bunch of their customers bitching about the repair shop.
I bought 4 qts of the fluid. I'm going to drain it, fill it, run it for a while then change it again. Who knows what has crawled up into that transfer case.
I think what pisses me off the most is the truck has been running flawless for 2 years...

I am doing my best to get as much evidence as possible before court. Lots of good ideas from forum members and I really appreciate it!
