Gents,
I'm in the middle of replacing my starter (351m/C6). I ordered one from summit based on engine/transfer combo and once I pulled out the bad starter, I found that it is different than the one from summit.
I've owned the truck for about 5 months and don't know if the PO my be put on an incorrect starter....or if I received the wrong model from summit.
Can someone help me out?
Most obvious is the gear shroud and single wire post on the starter I removed. the one from summit has no shroud and has two wire posts.
I'll attempt at post a photo, but I'm not sure if I'm allowed.
Yes. I will hoping to get a high torque version due to difficult hot restarts. I just got off for the phone with summit and they are sending me one that looks like the factory original. I was hoping to get a high torque with one with hook up. But this will do for now.
Thanks for the quick reply.
