Ok so little background was having starting issues so ended up replacing pos and neg cables starter and solenoid, battery and alternator are testing fine. Problem is with the truck off was getting a power drain on the battery and once when I was boosting it it tried to continue to crank after I had removed the key! SO though process was short in the ignition switch. Picked one up today slapped it in and now the truck tries to crank as soon as I hook up neg cable, Thought maybe I knocked the switch into the wrong position but apparently its doing it in EVERY position on the switch. Thought bad switch put the old one back in and go get a new one , but that one is doing it too. Cant find any wires that may of gotten crossed during my installation and at a complete loss now.
Any Ideas?
Ok 2 things to try after the batt. has been fully charged:
1- Remove the small wire on the solenoid going to the "S" lug. Hook batt back up, does it still crank?
2- Try tapping the solenoid with a hammer a few times. Hook batt back up, does it still crank?
As for the batt. draining we have away to check that too.

I am thinking the same thing but if he follows the testing as I posted it he would be able to tell if IGN switch (small wire removed) or solenoid (hammer to un-stick it maybe?)
With all this posting of bad / sticking solenoids and the junk that is in the parts stores I wonder if one for a boat would be any better?
