Question: So, now that the trucks seem to be headed to the dealers etc.... Does this mean that Ford has blessed the dealers with the words...Ok to sell? Or are they going to a holding yard for the big round up?
Met a regional Ford rep right after pressing "submit" on my new truck today (I really have an awesome dealer). He says "OK to ship/sell" sounding like next week.
Good old american work ethic. Bet that time and a half doesn't hurt either.
I would trade that time and a half for the scars, and aches and pains any day to spend more time with my family. I chose this job even after getting my degree.

I love the old "My buddy knew a worker there that pushed a button 3 times and he went home." That's my favorite! Never was, never will be.
I guess we can save that for another thread, LOL!
I will try to keep everyone up to date of what I can.

I'm surprised those plants aren't climate controlled. Our plants are decidedly larger and stay very comfortable, or the ones I've been in. Granted, I don't work in them day-to-day.
The hours are familiar, though. I'm lucky in not having to do too much of that and my manager has the foresight to allow us to do optional overtime to catch timelines and prevent mandatory overtime.
