Ford replaced the battery free, say it sits to much to keep it charged proper. Think I'll keep the VW until they pry it out of my fingers.
They only have to get 80% off the road, maybe they will miss mine. They also have 2 years to get them. I'll be well over 100,000 miles by then and still worth 2015 October NADA prices.
Yesterday Butler Pa to Smokey Mountains Tennessee, $24.00 dollars in fuel. 45.2 mpg in all mountains!
Yep, VW deserves a medal for their mileage figures as far as I'm concerned. As technology improves, so does precision measurement as well. They are complaining about parts-per-billion levels of pollution and add to that, a "zero tolerance" policy. Mix in a few control-freak nutters in charge of everything.... Yeesh.

I would have to agree with that. I just had my 2011 at my local dealer getting an O2 sensor replaced. And the coolant system flushed. Anyway they also did a "courtesy check" on my battery (which is still the original) and it tested great. And my truck has 77k miles on the clock. The bad part, the O2 sensor wasn't covered under the federal emission warranty, or the Ford CPO warranty. But at least it's fixed and running well again.
