Few (hopefully) small issues on a possible purchase.

The truck apparently just died one day (and has maybe done it once or twice more) and then the codes were pulled and the P0231 is the one that came up. The truck ran great when we took it out that night, started, idled and drove fine. Ever seen the cause of the code be a failing inertia switch for the fuel pump?
The power steering pump doesn't sound too bad, a chance to get to know the truck I guess.
I suppose I will talk to the owner and see if he is willing to drop down enough.
If you guys have any other thoughts/suggestions/ideas, let me know.
Thanks for all the help so far, I really appreciate it.

and runs excellently.
at 91k miles, the cooler failed, faulted the egr cooler, and blew both head gaskets. as it was a van, and the labor is higher,
going thru it to bulletproof it was just over $10,000. however, it was done right, so it should hold up pretty well.
it's at 175k now, and not a blink of flinch.
two years ago, there was a pump failure on the tranny. zero warning, pristine maintenance. pump exploded.
$4k, with labor.
so, all is well, and it'll probably run as long as i need a van. figure 350k or 400k, would be reasonable.
take the price of that 06, and add $10k to it. is it still a good deal?
let's say it's KBB at $15,000
the downside is 50% or more of the value. not a win.
knowing what i know, i wouldn't touch a used 6.0... that may
provoke some flames here, but if i didn't have a horse in this
race when i found this forum, i'd a dumped the van and cut my
losses.
the information i found on this forum is the only thing that made
keeping my van worthwhile.
i just bought a new car this year. i've been buying and driving fords
since i was 16. i'm 60 now. it wasn't a ford i bought. i'll never buy
another ford based on how ford managed the 6.0 debacle.
ford's ****ty forkover of the 6.0 customers cost me $10k.
it cost ford $75k. and another $100k at the end of this year.
i'm done with fords.
