Some people don't know what ORIGINAL means Randy. It takes the right person to come along and buy something like that.
I got to take my dads 68' AMX out for a spin while in FL. Oh boy that was FUN! A tad light in the rear end and got a little squirrelly on me but it was a blast to drive.
Loved the AMX's.... My buddy in High School (1970) got a 69 and it was a rocket...
The seats were redone by the second owner in black velour. That got a number of negative comments. The original seat covers were hotter than heck black vinyl... This and the 74 Z28 steering wheel is really the only non-stock part of the car other than the engine and exhaust thats in it now...

IMO the car needs different wheels those wheels don't do it any justice. Custom wheels would set it off really good and doesn't take away the fact that the car is original.
I am going to list it on eBay with a BIN of $27k. This will include the engine that is in the car as well as the original engine that is pickled and bagged in my shop.
I have center caps for these wheels and am thinking about putting them on along with $100 for trim rings - but that's all I am going to put into the car at this time.

Gotcha. Yes put the center caps back on and spend the money on the trim rings. That will make a big difference right there in how the car looks.
Nice looking car Randy. They're not my thing but its hard to not appreciate a good looking vehicle.
Detroit Lakes oughta be nice Troy. Last weekend the me, my wife, her cousin and brother all went up to her grandparents cabin just south by Pelican Rapids. Had some beautiful weather when we were up there.
Starting to get used to this second shift thing. With a little melatonin last night I was able to sleep about 8 hours. I am hoping that some melatonin for the next few days will get me in a good enough rhythm that I can sleep decent every night, only time will tell though.
In the meantime, still looking for another truck, or maybe a car now, spending a lot more on fuel than I thought.
It's finally Friday! Wahooo! Car show tonight and multiple activities tomorrow including parade and fireworks! Should be a nice weekend weather wise also. Enjoy!
Randy, my dad bought a new AMX in '68, 390 go pack edition in powder blue. Loved the car but eventually had to sell it. Found almost the exact same car for sale in FL a few years ago and bought it for ten times what he paid for it new. Crazy but he absolutely loves it! He bought it from and old AMC dealer that had kept the car since new. Every nut and bolt on the car is original from the factory when restored.
