I got a 92 f150 4x4 5.0 5 speed and i just got a code reader for x mas and want a know where i plug it in to?? Is it undr the dash or under the hood?? Thansk!!
Wait this is pre OBD-II... wouldn't it be on the drivers side under the hood? in the very back (towards the cab) on top? or am I plain silly. I know OBD-II's are under the dash... but if mines a '95 OBD-I and it isn't under the dash, wouldn't his be?
Spidk you are right. Any vehicle pre 1996 was OBD-I and didnt require the diagnostics plug to be "within reach of the drivers compartment."
Hippy, your plug is under the hood, on the drivers side like spidk said. there should be a black "box" type thing that says EEC on it or something to that affect. Theres a bundle of wires going to a plug, and single wire plug. They are toward the wirewall, mounted onto the inside of the driver side fender. Hope this helps ya out. Congrats on the new toy! And welcome to FTE!
