Hood Alignment
Any suggestions for getting the hood lined up properly without a co-pilot? It looks close, but as the passenger side goes up towards the cab, it sticks up above the fender line a little.

If there are new parts involved, it may be different curvature. I replaced the DS front fender, and wound up building up the fender with all-metal to get good alignment. Make sure that hinges and springs are attached and tight because the hood will flex. HF sells a whole box of body shims for around $5.

try a thick shim on the rear hood hinge bolt only....the one that the hood bolts to nearest to the cowl panel.

no shims necessary.
Jeff, just make small adjustments on the bolts that hold the hinge to the firewall

That's actually what I was thinking. It's slightly crooked. Looked at my 94 as a reference.
You can see its tilting up towards the drivers side. Makes it so the hinge doesn't want to sit flat against the hood.

I see so many grounds left unhooked, folks wondering why things don't work right, that's all!
Thank you.

There's one on the hinge for the hood, the hinge is bolted to the body. Sort of a moot point anyway
