I'm looking for recommendations on trailer brake controllers. I need to add one and looking for first hand experience in selection and install. Any ideas are appreciated.
I have had a PRODOGY controller on 3 different F150 trucks... Works great... applies pressure in response to pedal effort........ one truck had something else on it when I bought it... it would pulse the brakes on- off - on.... and bounce the trailer. The PRODOGY is adjustable for trailer weight and dead accurate.
As I posted over in the other forum, the Prodigy P-3 worked flawlessly in my 2006 F150 for years. Super easy to install, especially with the Ford pigtail, and even easier to set up and operate.

I have the Primus and have zero complaints.
it also had an available Ford plug that just plugged in.
I've had it since 2006 and ould buy another today if I needed it.
seems like I remember having to plug in a relay that was included in the glovebox - but that was 10 years ago.
