Good morning everyone...time to buy some fireworks!
Good Morning Tim! It's almost time to start shooting of the fireworks.
Where's everyone going for the fireworks? I've seen them in Raleigh, Lillington, Wake Forest, Southport, and a few other places over the years. Not sure where Mary and I will go see them this year.
We were headed down east. About three hours one way. It did very well. Tracked straight and handled the load no problem. I think I can get another 20 years of service out of it just changing tires and greasing bearings.
We'll be in Oriental for the Fireworks. We go to the Croaker Fest every year. They have bands, a parade, food and vendors, and a pretty decent fireworks display. They shut down the arch bridge and everyone finds a spot on the bridge to watch fireworks over the water.
Hope everyone has have a fun and safe holiday weekend.
Hey guys.. Sorry, haven't been on the forums much lately. Work has owned me the last month. Working 7 days/week non stop but I do have the holiday weekend off..woot! Hope all is well and wishing everyone a great and safe Independence Day weekend. Time to run a ride the border to Greenville and buy some fireworks..lol
Stay safe out there this weekend
We hopped on the bikes and hauled *** to cedar island this morning. Hit up the beach for awhile then cruised back home and grabbed a early dinner at no name pizza. Barely dodged a couple storms on the way home. Now time to crack open that bottle of apple.
hey peepers... Was down in Norlina over the weekend... Was hoping to work on the front deck some more but nature had other plans apparently.. Saturday only thing i got done was a bit edging with the gas weeder after which it just started pouring... so instead i worked on getting my new plane together..
had to fix the front landing gear... the set screw stripped the threads out of the aluminum collar.. little trip to Lowes fixed that.. but wasnt finished till sunday.. and all it did then was rain.. so didnt get to fly it at all.. did taxi it around the living room a bit lol..
Plane looks good Sparky. So do the Apple liquor Larry. Hope everyone had a good holiday, it's back to work for me this Tuesday.
I unfortunately spent several hours and a couple of grand over at NC State's Emergency Vet Clinic on Monday. She's been diabetic for years, and with all the traveling I've done since May, she stayed for a month at a friends place. Between infections and what not it's been difficult to manage her diabetes. Well she's stopped using one of her rear legs and just started dragging it, figured it was Neuropathy, so been trying to get her glucose back in order. However, the leg had been rubbed raw, and with her long hair, I couldn't really see the extent of it. Finally with Mary's help I was able to get a good look at the leg. then it was off to the Vet immediately.
Leg actually has multiple fractures, not sure why or where from. Glucose was too low, and the whole leg is infected. There's been some speculation as to what\why, but I'll hold off on sharing those at this time, till we know more. Now it's just sitting back waiting for the phone to ring, to find out what else is happening with her.
Anyway.. hope ya'll week started off better than mine!
Gentlemen, If the stars align tonight, I will again be a ford truck owner. I found a decent '89 F-150 that side swiped and scuffed the right front fender and the door but other than that it is decent shape. Long bed, automatic, with a 302. White with the red center. Needs some work but I know a guy who might be able to fix it up. Lol. Looks like a damn good starter truck that can be driven while it gets worked on. Also getting it at a real decent price.Hopefully I can get everything squared away and get some pics of it tomorrow. I hope to set it up as a camping truck to pull the bike to the mountains. Now I got to find a camper top for it that is in decent shape. Shouldn't be too difficult, especially with the support group we have assembled.
