Thought I would be productive during my lunch break today. Jumped on the mower to finally mow the front yard, it's only been a couple of months. Should have looked closer at the mower, and I'd have seen it needed gas... anyway, after running it out, and realizing the gas can was empty I jumped in the jeep, which of course didn't start...
Now I know not to try to be productive on a lunch break.
I think yesterday was a ****ty day anyways.
I had the vac truck attached to a filter bag and draining it.... well the bag let go at the seam and 6-800 gallons of fuel/bio went exploding across the containment pad, which sucked to have to clean up.
I'd say a re-do on yesterday is in order. I finally got the front and rear yards cut though. I also picked up a second flat water Kayak for Mary. She's been wanting to try out kayaking these past few months. Dick's had what looks to be a good one on sale for under 200. It's only a 10 foot Kayak, but I think she'll handle that alright. It's amazing all the little extras they put on Kayaks now. I looked at the angler kayak's and all the neat rod holders on them.
Anyway we're planning on taking them out this weekend, I've got an older 12 foot model, that should do fine after some cleaning.
On another note, one heck of a storm blew through last night, and today is now muggy as all get out.
Hey everybody, just checking in. We haven/t had any problems, and just got to Branson Missouri, and will be here until this Saturday morninig, then back to KC for the July 4th weekend, and then we leave for Gatlinburgh this next Tuesday morning.
Only thing I've gotten out of my garden this year has been lettuce. Nothing else is producing.. I wonder if I have it in too much shade...
Has your's given you any tomatoes or anything yet?
Just squash right now. Some bell peppers, not ready to pick. Tomatoes look good. A lot of baseball size, just not ripe yet. First time I've grown Goliath's.
One plus is I have no blossom end rot this year.

Bob, Looks like yall are having fun and things are going well. Hope the rest of the trip continues to be enjoyable.
Yall have a good rest of the week.
Forgot to mention we took the trailer on it's first longish voyage loaded down. It had been on a few local runs here and there and to the landfill a few times. I got the cross-brace bolted on the front triangle, put new tires on and got the trailer lights wired up. Checked her over front to back. She was loaded down and did wonderfully. Still need to get the stock taillights wired up and I plan to find and old bumper to mount on the rear to complete the look. Here's a few photos:

James,
Looks like you were able to get a pretty good amount in that old truck bed. I'm glad it's working out. Looks like a lot of fun. Were you heading up to the Mountains or out East?
