100º here today. Radiator in the Bronco exploded, so now Blue Thunder has to take the strain till I have time to fix it.

We topped out at 91 at around 14:00. Now it's down to 81, and I'm running the whole house fan. Breeze feels good.

Too hot for spring, summer must have arrived early without any fanfare.

Starting out very warm here this morning. The low this morning was 80. Sheesh. We also had a good shaker (3.6 on the USGS map) a little before 6 this morning. Earthquake weather?

Today is predicted to be the hottest day of the 10 day forecast, it goes downhill from here, albeit, very slowly. From 107 to 103 for the next three days, and then Wednesday 97. I can hardly wait. Is it fall yet? BTW, since summer came two weeks early, does that mean it will leave two weeks early?

Forgot to add the pics of the bugs. Finally got my camera back, and here are pics of two different bugs.

I'm no expert, but that looks like a bedbug to me. Notoriously difficult to remove. Bed Bugs: Pictures, Videos, Breaking News

Lovely. Well, so far, I have only seen two since I ditched the recliner, but I am also vacuuming everyday, and the heat is helping too I think. I will keep an eye out for them, and hopefully when I get paid next week and get a new to me recliner, they will be all gone. I will wash and dry the bedding at the highest temps possible, and get a real vacuum, to help get rid of them, and keep them from returning.

Just make darn sure your "new" recliner doesn't come equipped with the additional inhabitants too.

Yeah, I may buy a brand new one at Walmart, but I am leaning toward the power lift kind on CL. I think in the long run it will be better for me to have the assisted lift. So I will have to check for bugs before I buy it, and haul it home.

Jim,
You might have better choices at a furniture store. Would the VA help kick in on a necessity like that? Just a thought

I am using the VA to get a manual wheelchair since I have no hitch on the Thunderbird for a wheelchair carrier. (And don't have the $500+ it would take to get the hitch, receiver, ball, lock, labor and carrier). I can ask the doctor about getting one, or maybe since they have already referred me to physical therapy for the approval of a wheelchair, maybe I can ask them about the lift recliner. Would be nice if they covered both, but I know I would have to wait awhile, since right now I am waiting for the consultation with PT for the wheelchair, they don't even know about the recliner need yet.

Ya looks like a bed bug to me as well Jim. I wonder how they came in? None of your furniture was recently acquired was it?

We had about 95* and humid today. I hid inside most of the afternoon.
