Mine has been removed, so I have those holes. I would think that you would want to buy whatever unit you are going to get, then determine whete the holes need to be.
I have the original license plate light glass lens, if anyone wants one. The metal trim is rusted in half, and the rubber gasket is about gone, but you can have them for just the postage. I replaced it with a LED model.
Well, the land lord says I cant work on my truck where it is, and that it cant stay parked where it is. It is parked next to my garage, but I guess renting is renting. I looked into different storage options but any money for storage just means no money to work on it.
I am still rebuilding the engine, there isnt much about the truck that is special. I actually noticed that 2 bolt tabs on the trans are busted off. I figure to pull the gear box, and that is all I think is useable.
Going to have a nice little 390 built though that I can slam into something down the road.

Yea it don't take long for a landlord to notice a unmoved vehicles under their watchful eye.
May be you can find an rent a storage place up in the Altadena area for under lock and key with think iron gated for cheap.
long enough to get the engine back in and back on the road.
Oh man if you would have posted this 3 weeks ago a guy had a pair of them new at the loco flea market . And, I though gees a few guys are looking for a right passengers side mate once in a while. It did cross my mine of buying them & flipping them on C/List..
The two were even in a box.
I don't no if he'd sold or not as, I see the same guy every Saturday for about the last month. Always as old 50's60's & 70's stuff from auto parts to Electronics test equipment & radios. But seems to have different stuff each time he come to the flea market tho.
I look his stuff over every time, I see him their and keep a look out for them nest the next time out at the same flea market..

So I am running a 5.0 in my 71 f100 and its coupled to a 3.03 3 speed manual trans. Question What kind of HP or Torque will this trans support. I ask because this motor will be overhauled in the future and want to upgrade performance. Any thoughts?

Thanks. I saw a pair at a show a couple weeks ago, but 1 of the mounting holes was busted out like someone torqued the screw too tight and split the hole. The booth was in the first row I went through and would be going by it on the way out anyway and I remembered a buddy of mine can repair cast metal with those aluminum alloy sticks that you melt with a regular hand torch. Well on the way back through wouldn't you know it, they were gone.
Even though they are from the dent years, I think that that style is the most proportionate to our trucks.
Yea, I've used the alum soldering rods myself that is pretty good stuff to use.
It always seems to be that way when you past up on an item and go back to buy it an it's gone

So, if anyone remembers, I pulled my engine to rebuild it. Neighbor complained about the truck, so landlord would like it moved.
A guy is going to come haul it away tomorrow. Hopefully he gets it running or uses it to fix his truck.
Good news, I am going to look at a different one that runs, on Saturday, lol. The guy needs a car, I want a truck, so it may be a straight trade.
It just needs to be able to drive 6 miles to work and back.
I will be able to take my time and rebuild the 390 that I took out.
